The relationship between father and son is unique. It is about love, responsibility, security and emotions. The mother takes care of the child in her womb for 9 months, while the father takes care of the child until it becomes self-reliant.

Every father not only loves his child, but also makes a way to shape his future and give him an ideal life. No one in this world can fill the place of a father.

‘Father’ is not just a word or a body. Father is the basis of many powers. Father is the source of economic power, physical power, mental power, spiritual power. Father is the only religion; father is the spiritual practice and father is the only power.

That is why it has been said-
“पिता धर्मः पिता स्वर्गः पिता हि परमं तपः।
पितरि प्रीतिमापन्ने प्रीयन्ते सर्वदेवताः॥।”

 

‘World Father’s Day’ is celebrated every year to remember the sacrifice and dedication a father feels towards his children and a girl is behind celebrating this day.

‘World Father’s Day’ was first celebrated by Sonora Lewis. After the death of Sonora’s mother, her father raised her alone. Loved like a mother and protected like a father. Because of her father’s love, Sonora never felt the absence of her mother.

4. Why only in the month of June?
Sonora requested to celebrate ‘World Father’s Day’ in dedication to her father and billions of fathers like him. To accomplish this, he camped across America. Ultimately his wish was fulfilled and June 19 was celebrated as ‘World Father’s Day’ for the first time. The reason for celebrating ‘World Father’s Day’ in June is that Sonora’s father’s birthday was also in this month.
